Ling Yunzhen – Gets Stuff Done
(a.k.a. Operations Manager)

Ling is the consummate team player, whether at work or on the dodge ball court. Kilo for kilo, she’s one of the better drinkers around. She hails from Singapore, so although she looks Chinese and speaks the language fluently, she eats, breathes and sleeps efficiency. Ling has handled everything for us from legal to construction to sourcing to government approvals (hence her title).

Kathy Block – Not Just the Owner's Wife
(a.k.a. Marketing Manager)

Kathy used to toil as an IT consultant in the U.S. In China, she switched to event planning and management, which she loved. Although she never pictured herself working in self storage, she relishes the opportunities to kick Carson under the desk when he steps out of line. Her experiences gained while working in hotels and restaurants during college and as a road warrior afterward give her a solid understanding of customer service.

Ishan Hsiao - "YES!" Expert
(a.k.a. Facility Manager)

Ishan is one of our two “YES!” experts at Love Box. When she’s not busy assisting customers in solving their storage predicaments, she enjoys a good movie.

She is a night owl and really digs underground music (but not the mainstream stuff). When she’s not at the clubs, or shopping on TaoBao for her favorite fashion accessories (shoes!), she enjoys being at home and relaxing with her 3 Siamese cats.

Carmen He - "YES!" Expert
(a.k.a. Facility Manager)

As the other half of the Facility Management team, Carmen certainly does her part in keeping our customers completely satisfied and relaxed knowing they have left their things in good hands at Love Box.

In her free time, Carmen constantly works toward improving her German as well as sharpening her competitive edge on the badminton court. She also enjoys lending a hand to support her good friend’s bakery business by marketing and promoting it throughout the expat community. The Love Box team is always well supplied with fresh sourdough and rye bread (it’s THE best sourdough bread in town!).

Liz Liu - Expert on All Things Local
(a.k.a. Office Manager)

Liz loves reading and swimming. She is also quite the storyteller – her friends often tell her that she should write a book someday. In addition to her official job of handling all of our office affairs and accounting, Liz helps us to stay abreast of changes in Shanghai’s business environment.

Hui Ling Ho - A/R Ball Breaker
(a.k.a. Project Coordinator)

Hui Ling is our intern from Singapore. Her main duty is to drop gentle reminders to our customers about their rent payments coming due. Apart from Operations-related tasks, she offers her support wherever needed.

She loves traveling, reading and eating! We often hear her munching away at her desk while working and it is her goal to try as many different restaurants and snacks she can during her nearly one year stay in Shanghai.

Flavia Chan - The New Kid on the Block
(a.k.a. Marketing Assistant)

A recent college grad (and one of the youngest members of the Love Box team), Flavia is helping to support our Chinese marketing efforts. Her hometown is Hunan so you can bet that she likes her food extra spicy!

She is an avid reader and a true student of Marketing. Also, working at Love Box is Flavia’s first up-close-and-personal introduction to American culture. Flavia's title is in part paying homage to one of our favorite music legends from the 80s because we believe - she's got the right stuff.

Junjie Yeo - The Linear
(a.k.a. Operations)

Junjie is our super-duper Singaporean intern #3 and the most recent member to join the Love Box team. We’re lucky to have him too, as we recently discovered one of his hidden talents - he is a master in the art of Linear Thinking. Junjie enjoys tackling any challenging situation or problem with a simple mathematical equation.

He loves the beach (which you can easily tell by his perfectly tan complexion or what we also like to call the “Hong Kong millionaire” look).

In his spare time, Junjie enjoys sports – especially squash and volleyball. He also likes to jog outside but because he only just got here (and because we have a self-serving interest to keep him healthy), we’re going to try our best to keep him breathing indoors.

Mooshu – Retired
(a.k.a. Gremlin)

It’s unclear what Mooshu brings to the table. Known for diving under furniture at the sound of the faintest thunderclap, security isn’t his strong suit. But he loves people, so he comes with us to the office. Plus, he lives with four mean cats who torment him when his owners aren’t around. (By the way, he’s better looking in real life.)
